Turn a Spreadsheet Into an App

Turning a spreadsheet into an app means moving its data into a real database and rebuilding its formulas as software rules, with logins, validation, history and reporting. AI Easy Mode migrates the existing rows, keeps the logic your team relies on, and delivers an app several people can use at once without breaking it.

The spreadsheet is running the company

It started as a tracker. Now it holds pricing, jobs, stock and commissions — and one wrong paste can cost a day of reconstruction.

  • No permissions or audit trail
  • Formulas nobody dares touch
  • Multiple conflicting copies in circulation

Same logic, real software

We document the rules hidden in the formulas, design a proper data model, migrate your history and rebuild the workflow as an app — with the reports your team already relies on generated automatically.

  • Existing data migrated and reconciled
  • Validation that prevents bad entries
  • Reports built in rather than assembled

Who this is for

  • Operations teams running on shared sheets
  • Finance teams with a critical workbook
  • Businesses where one file is a single point of failure

What we actually build

Job tracker

Stages, owners, dates and margin in a live board instead of tabs.

Pricing workbook

Rate cards, margin rules and approvals enforced by the software.

Stock and asset sheet

Live counts with alerts and full movement history.

How we do it

  1. 01

    Read the workbook

We extract every rule, lookup and edge case buried in the formulas.

  2. 02

    Model the data

The structure that will still make sense when volumes triple.

  3. 03

    Build and migrate

App built, data moved, numbers reconciled against the sheet.

  4. 04

    Switch over

Parallel run first, then retire the spreadsheet.

Why it's worth doing

No more version confusion

One live record everyone shares.

Safe to use

Roles and validation replace trust and caution.

Faster reporting

The month-end pack stops being a manual job.

§ FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Will we lose our existing data?
No. Migrating and reconciling the existing rows is part of the build, and we run the app alongside the spreadsheet before switching over.
Can the app still export to Excel?
Yes. Most teams keep exports for ad-hoc analysis while the app holds the source of truth.
Is a no-code tool good enough?
Sometimes, and we will say so. No-code hits limits around complex rules, permissions and integrations — which is usually why people call us.
